Players use the arrow keys to control Fireboy and the WASD keys to control Watergirl. They must coordinate their movements to avoid hazards, solve puzzles such as activating switches, moving platforms, and collecting diamonds. The goal is to reach the exit door at the end of each level. As the levels progress, the puzzles become more complex, requiring better teamwork and strategic thinking.
